Biography
Paul Harvey became an actor when he was just 14 years old. Harvey's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "The Wiser Sex" (1932), the musical comedy "Kid Millions" (1934) with Eddie Cantor and the Will Rogers dramatic adaptation "Handy Andy" (1934). He also appeared in the comedy "The Affairs of Cellini" (1934) with Constance Bennett, the dramatic adaptation "The House of Rothschild" (1934) with George Arliss and the Loretta Young drama "Born to Be Bad" (1934). His film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like the musical "Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm" (1938) with Shirley Temple Black, the Errol Flynn drama "The Sisters" (1938) and the musical drama "They Shall Have Music" (1939) with Jascha Heifetz. He also appeared in the adventurous drama "Stanley and Livingstone" (1939) with Spencer Tracy. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Leo Gorcey comedy "In Fast Company" (1946), "The Bamboo Blonde" (1946) and "The Late George Apley" (1947) with Ronald Colman. He also appeared in the Van Johnson drama "High Barbaree" (1947) and "Call Northside 777" (1948).
